"It all began on a peaceful farm in the heart of Indiana, where a close family of six worked together under the leadership of "the master of innovation", my father. Dad was born to be a farmer, working the soil with my grandpa since he was too small to see over the steering wheel of a combine .
Our family has grown soybeans for several generations, but with foresight, Mom and Dad knew that farming wouldn't be enough to supply a college education for their four children. Not wanting to stray too far from their roots, they decided to start a Christmas tree farm. We call it Holly Pines, a place of quality Christmas trees, but more importantly incredible service.
My father got the notion of developing a new soybean candle to sell in our Holly Shop. As the Christmas season began, they sold as fast as we could pour them and we knew we had a great product. We were still dissatisfied with the appearance of the candles and this is the area that used my talents the most. We looked for months to find the perfect jars, ribbons and tags to display the country elegance that these beautiful candles now possess." -- Kinsey Fennig
Testimonials
"I can't thank you enough for encouraging me to buy samples to try. You've definitely sold me. I've been
burning the test jar for a couple of days now and love it....the fragrance lingers but is not so overpowering. It definitely
does not have a waxy smell. No soot yet! I've bought Yankee's for years and years...before you could really buy
them in a shop around here, I ordered them. Then I tried another major competitor's candles. They are nice, but the
soy has so many advantages and it's an Indiana product! I hope your business continues to grow and prosper."

"I have recently begun making candles in my home and am really enjoying it. Although I felt I had a top quality soy
candle, an acquaintance of mine sent me a Holly Pines candle. I was amazed. My candles give a scent that fills the
whole room, while your candles' fragrance filled my whole house!"

About Our Candles
Holly Pines Soy Scents LLC produces all natural candles made with soy wax and lead free wicks. They burn cleaner and longer than any paraffin candle on the market and leave no soot or residue in your home.
Holly Pines soy wax often produces a frosted look similar to "mottling” or what some call “star bursts”. The natural vegetable base is much like chocolate and reacts like chocolate when warmed & cooled. This is a natural characteristic and should not be considered a flaw because our natural wax does not contain chemicals to prohibit this effect.
Our candles are highly scented so if they are warmed in shipping they will sweat on top. This is just excess oils coming to the surface and will not effect the performance of the candle’s burn. It is recommended that you blot the top with a Kleenex to prevent spillage.
Burning Instructions
Best Burning Results: Please burn our soy wax candles for at least an hour for every inch of the diameter of its container. For example a 4” container should be burnt for 4 hours at a time. To avoid the smoke that follows blowing out your candle it’s best to use a snuffer. If not available, then push the wicks into the wax then pull the wick back up before the wax sets. Keep your wicks trimmed to ½” every couple of hours so mushrooming and soot from the wick does not develop. Burn your candle away from drafts.
Burn Times:
26 oz / 165 hours
16 oz / 110 hours
10 oz / 65 hours
5 oz / 32 hours
Our Most Endearing Qualities
Absolute Purity: A renewable resource, soybean oil provides the perfect burning medium. It is a wonderful agent for disseminating the richly scented oils that saturate our soy wax candles. But more importantly, when burning, our candles will not emit the soot proven to be harmful both to home interiors and humans.
Family Crafted Quality: Everything about this company is generated on a century old farm. This includes growing soybeans, developing the scent and the color combinations. We believe that America is built on family businesses like our own and we think it should stay that way.
Classic Appeal: The soft glow of frosted glass, the warm fragrance of natural goodness and the quality of hand-made craftsmanship sum up the gratifying experience of owning a Holly Pines scented soy wax candle .
Wholesome Goodness: Hydrogenated soybean oil is the same product used in pizza dough and biscuits and smells good enough to eat, but we don’t recommend that!
Washable: Because the base formula of our candle is made up of soybean oil our hot wax will wash out of fabrics much like any food product would. For best results you use hot sudsy water.
Burns to the edge: Soy oil has a low melting point. For this reason our candle liquefies as much as a ½” down while burning. This allows for little to no waste along the sides of the jar and more evidence of a clean burn.
A safe burning candle: The low melting point also produces a cooler burning candle. The wax is cool to the touch while lit and will not burn the skin if spilled while burning.
Renewable resource: Soybeans are grown annually and the oil is not a byproduct but a renewable, natural product that is extracted from the soybean seed. Soy wax is 100% biodegradable.
Lead Free Wicks: We use high temperature, lead free, paper wicks that disseminate soybean oil very effectively but should be trimmed every couple of hours for best results.
Deep, rich beauty: We believe soy candles are unique in their creamy texture and colors and that our scents are stronger and creamier as they burn in our soy wax. We scent our candles to the maximum levels recommended for a safe burning candle. |
